Dr. David-Paul Minde

I am a heavily protein-biased 3D biochemist with a recent love for AI. I studied molecular biotechnology at Technical University Munich and earned my Ph.D. at University of Utrecht on cancer protein folding. I continued in Amsterdam with Sander Tans monitoring single molecular chaperones in action and learned proteomics in Cambridge with Kathryn Lilley.

My research expanded to membrane proteomics and rationally improving industrial bacteria as part of the DETOX consortium. I helped establish a state-of-the-art proteomics lab at Oxford Biomedica, focusing on viral vector-based cell and gene therapy, vector and cell line proteomics, and AI-accelerated modelling.

I recently joined the Ertürk Lab to build new bridges between trillion-scale cell imaging and democratised implementations of the latest single-cell proteomics methods.
